
JOYCE YANG TOURS WITH VIOLINIST AUGUSTIN HADELICH
Joyce Yang launches the second half of her 2013–14 season with renowned German violinist Augustin Hadelich. Their US tour begins at Chamber Music International in Dallas, Texas, where the duo will perform works by Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Ysaÿe, Janácek, and André Previn (Jan 3). From here, the pair takes the program to UCLA (Jan 5), and then to Sarasota, Florida (Jan 11 & 12).
Their collaboration continues at the 5th Hong Kong International Chamber Music Festival (Jan 13–23). A highlight of this series is Taneyev’s Piano Quintet in G minor, Op. 30, in which Joyce and Augustin join violinist Vadim Repin, violist Maxim Rysanov, and cellist Jian Wang.
The duo will be joined by guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas for a multimedia recital at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater in Washington, DC (April 21). Tango, Song, and Dance presents works by Previn, Rodrigo, Falla, Piazzolla, Ginastera, Ysayë, and Villa-Lobos.
