In-Person Concerts Are Back!
Joyce returned to the stage in the summer of 2021 as a concerto soloist performing in music festivals all across America. Joyce performed with the National Symphony in celebration of Wolf Trap's 50th Anniversary with JoAnn Falletta), made a debut performance at Grant Park Music Festival (with Carlos Kalmar), and made celebrated returns to Aspen Music Festival (with Benjamin Manis), Sun Valley Music Festival (with Alasdair Neale), and the San Diego Symphony (with Aram Dmirjian). Joyce endured severe weather conditions as she performed in various outdoor venues. In Wolf Trap, Washington Post wrote " To say that Yang powered through the disruption would mischaracterize the nimbleness and grace with which she maneuvered between the demanding dynamics of both Chopin and the weather, lighting into trills that blurred into a chromatic storm of her own making. Yang rode the wind and the din with confidence, force and precious little regard for the squalls of the storm — or the squeals of suddenly soaked lawn-sitters, who scrambled en masse into the open rows under cover once the rain opted to go horizontal."
